Editing

Timeline Editor

Trim, split, and arrange your recording with multi-track editing.

Layout

The timeline sits below the video preview. Each recorded track gets its own lane: screen, system audio, microphone, and camera. A time ruler runs along the top, and the playhead (the vertical line) shows your current position.

Trimming

Select regions of the timeline to keep. Anything outside your selected regions is excluded from the final export. Drag the edges of a region to adjust where it starts and ends.

Splitting

Position the playhead where you want to cut, then split. This breaks the region into two pieces that you can trim or delete independently. Both segments need to be at least 0.1 seconds long.

Deleting regions

Select a region and delete it to remove that section from your recording. The playhead automatically repositions to avoid landing in a deleted area.

Multi-track editing

All tracks stay in sync. When you trim or split, it applies across all tracks at once. But each track has independent controls:

  • Mute/Solo: Toggle individual tracks on or off during preview and export
  • Volume: Adjust each audio track's level independently (see Audio editing)

Playback

Press play to preview your edited recording with all effects applied in real time, including zoom-to-click, annotations, camera PiP, and volume adjustments. What you see in preview is what you get in the export.
