Works with any public loom.com/share or loom.com/embed link

Built by ShipClip — record, edit, and share screen videos on Mac. Try it free.

How it works

  1. Open the Loom video you want to download in your browser.
  2. Copy the URL from the address bar. It looks like loom.com/share/abc123...
  3. Paste it above and click Download MP4.
  4. The video saves directly to your computer.

Takes a few seconds. We fetch the video from Loom’s servers and send it straight to your device. Nothing is stored on our end.

What links work?

Any publicly accessible Loom video. Both formats work:

Private, password-protected, or restricted videos won’t work. The video must be set to “Anyone with the link” in Loom’s sharing settings.

Why download Loom videos?

Loom doesn’t give you the file. You record on their platform, but on the free plan there’s no download button at all. Paid plans restrict downloads to the creator. If a coworker sends you a walkthrough and you need to keep it for a presentation, an archive, or another tool, you’re stuck.

This tool fixes that. You get a standard MP4 that plays in QuickTime, VLC, or any browser. Import it into Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or iMovie. It’s your video. Keep it on your machine.

Is it free?

Completely. No account, no signup, no limits. Paste a link, get the MP4.

Can I download Loom videos without a subscription?

Yes. Loom paywalls video downloads, even for videos you recorded. On the free plan, there’s no download button. On paid plans, only the creator can download. This tool bypasses that restriction for any public video.

It gets worse. Loom uploads everything to their servers the moment you stop recording. No local copy. No chance to review before it’s on their infrastructure. Show a password on screen by accident? It’s already uploaded. You can delete it after, but you can’t undo the upload.

You record on their platform, but you don’t own the file. This tool gives it back.
