Terms of Service

1. Agreement
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of ShipClip, including the macOS application, website (shipclip.app), and video hosting services (collectively, the “Service”), operated by Ligma Digital (“we”, “us”, “our”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use ShipClip. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement.
3. Accounts
You sign in using Sign In with Apple. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Apple ID and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
4. The Service
ShipClip is a macOS screen recording application with timeline editing, multi-track audio, zoom-to-click effects, camera picture-in-picture, and video sharing. Recordings are created and stored locally on your Mac. You may optionally upload videos to our servers for sharing.
5. Purchases & Subscriptions
ShipClip is a monthly subscription processed by Stripe:
- Monthly subscription. Grants access to the app, all future updates, and 500 GB of video hosting, billed monthly
- Founder pricing. Early adopters who subscribe during the beta period lock in a discounted rate of $4.99/month for as long as their subscription remains active. If you cancel and resubscribe later, the standard rate of $9.99/month will apply. We reserve the right to end the founder pricing offer for new subscribers at any time.
You may cancel your subscription at any time through Stripe’s billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. After your subscription expires, there is a 14-day grace period before uploaded videos are archived. Archiving disables public share links. You can still download your own videos from your account page at any time.
6. Refunds
We offer a 14-day, no-questions-asked refund on your first month of service. Click “Request a refund” on your account page within 14 days of your first payment for a full refund. No email required. You can also contact us at ryan@shipclip.app. This refund offer applies only to your initial subscription payment. Subsequent renewal payments are not eligible for self-service refunds, but you may contact us and refunds beyond the first month are at our discretion.
7. Your Content
You retain full ownership of recordings you create with ShipClip. By uploading a video to our servers for sharing, you grant us a limited license to host, store, and serve the video to anyone with the sharing link. This license ends when you delete the video.
You are solely responsible for the content of your recordings. You must not upload content that:
- Violates any law or infringes on the rights of others
- Contains malware or harmful code
- Contains illegal, abusive, or exploitative material
We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms and to suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly violate them.
8. Storage Limits
Cloud storage (500 GB) is included with your monthly subscription. If your subscription expires, uploaded videos will be archived. Archived videos remain on our servers and you can download them from your account page at any time, but public share links will show an “unavailable” message to anyone who clicks them. Renewing storage instantly restores all share links. Local recordings on your Mac are not subject to these limits.
9. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users’ accounts
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service (e.g., excessive automated requests, denial-of-service)
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the application
10. Intellectual Property
ShipClip, including its design, code, and branding, is the property of Ligma Digital. Your purchase grants a license to use the software. It does not transfer ownership of any intellectual property.
11. Updates
The app checks for updates via Sparkle. Updates may include bug fixes, new features, and security patches. We recommend keeping the app up-to-date.
12. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
13. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LIGMA DIGITAL SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
14. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service at any time, for any reason, at our sole discretion, with or without notice. Reasons for termination may include, but are not limited to:
- Violation of these Terms or our Acceptable Use policy
- Uploading illegal, abusive, harmful, or exploitative content
- Conduct that we determine poses a risk to the Service, its users, or third parties
Upon termination, we may, at our sole discretion, issue a full or partial refund of your most recent payment, or no refund at all, depending on the circumstances. Uploaded videos will be deleted within 30 days of termination. You may stop using the Service at any time by cancelling your subscription.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
