Recording

Window Recording

Record a single application window without the rest of your desktop.

How it works

Choose window mode and ShipClip shows a picker with thumbnails of all open windows. Click the one you want to record.

The picker shows the app icon, window title, and dimensions in pixels. ShipClip's own windows are excluded so they don't get in the way.

When to use it

  • App demos where you only want to show one application
  • Recording a browser tab without exposing other tabs or your desktop
  • Keeping your recording clean without needing to hide other windows

Tips

  • If a window is too small (under 100×100 pixels), it won't appear in the picker. Resize it first.
  • Use the refresh button in the picker if you opened a new window after the picker loaded.
  • Window recording captures the window at its exact size. If you want a specific resolution, resize the window before recording.
