Fullscreen Recording
Record an entire display at its native resolution.
How it works
Fullscreen mode captures everything on a single display. If you have multiple monitors, you pick which one to record before starting.
When recording starts, non-recording displays dim slightly so you can confirm you're capturing the right screen.
When to use it
- Product demos where you want to show the full desktop
- Walkthroughs that involve switching between multiple windows
- Any recording where window switching is part of the flow
Tips
- Close notifications or enable Focus mode before recording to avoid popups landing in your video.
- Hide your dock if you don't want it in frame (System Settings โ Desktop & Dock โ Automatically hide and show the Dock).
- ShipClip records at your display's native resolution. If you need a specific output size, you can downscale during export.
