Export & Share
Export locally as MP4 or upload for an instant shareable link with view tracking.
Export options
Resolution
- Native: Exact recording dimensions
- 1080p: Downscaled to 1080p (or native if smaller)
- 720p: Downscaled to 720p (or native if smaller)
ShipClip never upscales. If your recording is smaller than the selected resolution, it exports at native size.
Quality
- Standard: Smaller file size, good for most screen recordings
- High: Balanced quality and size
- Maximum: Largest file, highest quality
Frame rate
Choose 60 fps or 30 fps. 60 fps is smoother but produces larger files.
Effect toggles
You can selectively enable or disable effects in the export:
- Zoom-to-click
- Click indicators
- Click sounds (with volume control)
- Keystroke sounds (with volume control)
- Per-track audio muting
File size estimate
ShipClip shows a real-time file size estimate based on your current settings so you can balance quality against file size before exporting.
Local export
Export saves an MP4 file to your Mac. What you see in preview is exactly what gets exported — all effects, annotations, and audio adjustments are baked in.
Upload and share
Choose upload instead of local export to get a shareable link. ShipClip streams the export to the cloud as it renders, so the upload finishes shortly after the export does.
Your shareable link includes a web-based video player. You can see who viewed it and how many times from your account page.
Upload limits
Maximum upload size is 2 GB. ShipClip warns you before export if your current settings would exceed this. Lower the resolution or quality preset to reduce file size.
